Well shaped brows make a huge difference in your finished makeup look and can make you look years younger by lifting and opening the eyes. There are more to brows than just going in for a regular wax or cleanup. A brow shaping with regular at home grooming can dramatically change your everyday look. Now that you are thinking brows, notice some famous faces who are knows for their iconic brows; Audrey Hepburn & Elizabeth Tayler.
Professional shaping techniques include; tweezing/plucking, razoring, waxing, threading & electrolysis. Here are some tips on DIY shaping & tweezing with Jane Iredale's Bitty Brow Kit. Use the BLONDE kit for lighter hair (white, grey & blonde) or a natural look. Use the BRUNETTE kit for dark hair, darker skin types or a more dramatic look.

Tools needed: angled tweezers, small scissors, Jane Iredale's White Eyeliner & Jane Iredale's Bitty Brow Kit.
Finding your natural brow shape should not be hard. The brows generally like to arch with the face so the arch is the main point to find. The most common shape is squared off at the nose with an arch 2/3 of the way along the tapered end.
To trim the brows brush hairs in an upward direction with the brush in your Bitty a Brow Kit. Trim hairs over the top line of the brow with small (nail size) scissors. Brush the hairs down and trim again if necessary. Brush the brow back in the shape it naturally falls and now you should see the hairs that need to be tweezed.
To understand your brow and the ideal shape you would like your brow to be, draw your brow on using an eyeliner pencil. Once brows are balanced, remember they are sisters, not twins, start plucking the unwanted hairs. I recommend working with your own brows to find what looks best on your face vs using a mass produced stencil.
-Brows are not only the brow hairs. Remember to highlight with a light or white color to define the brow line.
-If you have droopy eyes, continue the brow line beyond the corner & watch the entire eye lift.
-When tweezing at home make sure the face is free of any makeup or moisturizers to ensure the tweezers so not slip. Tweez after a hot steamy shower or compressing a hot towel over the brows. When the pores are open, you will feel less pain & be able to remove most all stray brow hairs.
-Make sure you only have good lighting when tweezing. Always pull hairs in the direction which the hairs grow. It is less painful and the hairs are less likely to break.
-Tweez hairs one by one. Start nearest to the nose and pluck outward.
-It is better to tweez the hairs below the brow and only trim hairs above the brow. Too much tweezing above the brow can cause premature thinning if the brows.
-In any situation black brows tend to be too heavy. Avoid using black on the brows.
